Trunk won't open
Trunk won't open
I have a problem with my 2001 TL, the button on the driver side door to open the trunk does not work but I can open the trunk just fine with the remote. Anyone have an idea whats wrong. Maybe a loose wire or something?
sounds like your trunk lock is on. and i cannot remember where it is... ummm look in your trunk... up by the latch or by the left side of the trunk theres a switch somewhere i cant rememberr where, but its prolly off. help me out if you can guys

There is a "valet" switch inside your glove compartment (on the left side). Idealy it is there so that you can lock up important things in your trunk, flip the switch and lock the glove box with your key, and then hand over the "valet" key to the valet or mechanic and they wont be able to get in your trunk. I'm sure only about 2% of the population actually use this feature,.. but I can understand why it would be handy.
Oh, yeah,.. Welcome to the board.

it is the master trunk switch in the glovebox. open glove box on the left side there is a black button push it the other way and try to open the trunk by pushing the button the driverside door, it will work then.
