Trunk Hinge Broken, anyone know how to fix?

My trunk hinge (I believe) is broken on my 03 TL-S. Whenever I pop the drunk it doesn't pop and just sits there and it also doesn't stay open. It's like the springs (if they use springs) are broken or something. What is the easiest way to replace this? I'm assuming I just replace the hinges and I'll be all good. Any links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

well if the hinge it wouldnt open straight. Is that the problem? Or is the the tension rod. the trunk lid shouldnt pop open when you open it, it should stay up though. Open it and look at the tension rods to see if they are broken or off? they cross from side to side, and there are 2 of them

The trunk opens straight and the tension rods go across and are intact. I'll get a video up in a few minutes. The problem is there is no Acura dealer within a couple hours.

You just barely pushed the lid to have it close like that?
That seems to me like one of the tension rods has come loose from where it is supposed to connect to the trunk or trunk lid, but I didn't get a good look from the video. Either that or you need stiffer rods to account for the spoiler.

That's most likely it. The spoiler was put on by the previous owner and I bet he didn't put in those stiffer rods. Any clue on where to get them? and their price? If they're expensive I'll just have to live with the death trap of a trunk. Thank you very much for the help.

Well I found some over at AcuraAutomotiveParts , but there are no options for different strengths (i.e. with spoiler, without spoiler)...any clues?

Sometimes there are different places you can attach the rods, I don't know about 2G, though. fsttyms1 is the expert, he would know.

Aftermarket spoilers don't come with the stiffer tension rod, only OEM spoilers do. A couple years ago, I ordered the stiffer rod separately for my friend whose trunk didn't pop up due to the heavy aftermarket spoiler. Check with the dealership to see if you can still order the stiffer rod alone.
