Hi, Im new to this site and currently thinking about purchasing a used 2001 Acura 3.2 TL with 152 000 km. Ive read countless pages regarding the notorious tranny problems. Ive also read trannys that have been done at the original dealership post 2005 were said to be fine. The car im looking at got it done ine june 2007. I was wondering if this will be ok and if its worth the purchase. Please help a new guys out Thanks

 

If you call Acura and give them your VIN number, they can tell you the date when transmission was replaced (assuming previous owner replaced it through Acura). The transmissions made after 2005 Feb are better, but not perfectly fine like you would expect from Honda.
