transmission.

i was just browseing around looking and seeing if i could even find a 6 speed transmission from a acura tl or whatever i found this one its a 05 tl 6 speed http://info.automotix.net/usedtransm...383a&seq_num=2 for 1300 and it comes with a two year warrenty.

after that then why is there so many other stuff i got to buy. lol dang seems like the part list to do a 6 speed is pretty extensive

Check out fsttyms1's 6speed swap thread(s), I think he has a full parts list somewhere. It racks up pretty quickly. But then again, this isn't exactly a plug and play thing.

If I were you, I'd go with an older CL-S transmission. Probably cheaper

different wiring harness, ecu program, connection point/mounts may change
Lucky the crankshaft will work!!

do the way thats tried and tested --a CL-S part

If you want an m/t that bad, sell the TL and get one made from the factory with it

If you use the modules the parts list and price goes down

no my 2nd will never bow down to a 3rd gen. never. and a 6 speed will make it even quicker... i read fsttyms1 thread last night gooodness gracious i was up til like 2:30 or so lookin up what everyone's route... seems like the small pulley gears and sensors held you back further then any of the other bugs... seems like it was struggle getting there.. i figure i would also want a stage 1 clutch. seems like it would be great to find a good deal on a wreck cl-s

You will be able to use the auto wiring and motor. You wont have to swap sensors cam gears, dash wiring etc..
