Transimission diy
I can't find a transmission diy for my 2003 tl type S when I'm searching. Also does anyone know the torque spec for all the bolts that attached to the engine? I'm sorry if they has been answered but I couldn't find anything. Appreciated any input thank you

get the honda seal rebuild kit and aftermarket clutches for sure
talk to a parts place that sells to trans shops, what are they using
call local shops and ask what they do
or go to the junkyard--now ~auto recyclers~ and get an accord trans for 700 bucks
note! get a super-duty trans jack and straps- unit weighs 450 pounds,,
thats far more than you want falling on your chest or hand

nope
but you can determine it by using torque wrench on tighten setting- before you remove the bolts
keep cranking it up until it clicks! there is your torque for that bolt
there is a spec list of every type bolt/grade and thickness = torque value
ck the 6speed trans swap threads for more on how to remove trans

I recommend replacing the rear main seal while the tranny is out. It's around $20 and is easily accessed while the tranny is out.
Depending on mileage, you may also want to check your tranny and engine mounts as well. Matter of fact, just inspect all replaceable parts such as ball joints as well.
And as mentioned by 01tl04tl, secure that tranny well. It doesn't have a flat bottom to sit on and will wobble on the tranny jack, so it could easily rolloff.
Have fun as this is a PITA job.
