My 2002 is my second TL my first was a type s, which I loved but had to part with. Anyway, I had to have the trans replaced in the type s and in my TL. It now seems to be acting up again and the warranty is up. I'm figuring I'm screwed. I'll have to do the work myself, limited income (retired), but before I do, any "easy" answers?

Problem - begining to slip some, very similar to the last two times it went out. Regularly serviced, fluid good. I don't drive it hard.

 

wait your 2002 already had a free transmission put in or it's on the original unit?

 

I am currently on my 3rd transmission with my 2002 TL Type S... The 2nd tranny was installed after i bought out the lease (35-45K)that was on the car. Then that tranny started to go around 80k and the dealership put a 3rd one in also under warranty.
