How much is the tranny warrenty?

84 months / 100,000 miles or 93 months / 109,000 miles?

At first it was 84/100k but then someone pulled out a class action lawsuit so it was extended to 93/109k.

93/109k, call acura services and have your vin # and they will let you know if you are covered.

That's great advice since not all 2nd gen TLs are covered.

Exceptions:

- 1999 TLs past the 93 months from the original purchase date
- 2003 TLs within a certain VIN number range
- Any TL with a salvage title

this sucks my car is in the shop getting my trans done right now. i got a letter a few months ago that said something about them going to court and that if honda lost i would recieve another letter that i can get my trans done, but i never got the letter. is there anyway i could get some of my money back. now here is the other thing i typed my vin in and it said that it was covered so does that mean that im covered and not past the 7 years,or just means that im just covered cause my tl is a 1999 at 80k. if not how do i find out the date my car was made so i can see if im past the 7 years.

If you are infact still covered under warranty contact acura and they will refund the money spent

Call Acura to check on the 7 year + 9 month limit. The countdown starts from when the car was originally sold, not when it was built. Acura will have that date recorded.

My 1999 TL reached the 7 year + 9 month limit a few months ago.

Did you have the work done at an Acura dealership?

Register at acura.com for owners link. It will tell you if you are still eligible for it.
