Well it happened today, my tranny started slipping so i'm taking it in tomarow... Is it true that you have to be over 25 to get a loan if so thats some bullshyt... i also have a code P0740 Problem in Lock-up Control System anyone knows what that means.

 

my dealer in new york wont give out loaners to anyone under the age of 25.. i duno if there all the same or not though.. i think its for insurance reasons

 

It's 21 at Ed Voyles Acura in Atlanta, so that's where you need to go. Please, steer clear of Nalley.

 

i've heard a couple of complaints about Nalley Acura, they did the ignition swith and ignition lock recall and i'm still able to shift through the gears without the key in the car the so i need to bring it back there anyways.... Where is Ed Voyles Acura located because i think i'm gonaa go there or Acura carland

 

I can understand the insurance reasons. But what do they expect people my age to do? me without a car =

I bought my car when i was 21 ad had no problems ever getting a loaner and would be pissed if they said i couldn't. If i can afford to buy the car than they can afford to give me a loner

 

I would reccomend Acura Carland. That is the ONLY dealer I've been taking my TL's to for years. I've always gotten a loaner car, and I'm only 21!

 

Yeah well you people in NY shouldn't drive anyways, too much traffic, aggrivation, headlight thefts, accidents, taxes, and I'm sure you could continue the list!

 

The age requirement is a dealer rule. Find different a different dealer

 

Well since i'm in Nc at school i went ahead and took to Performance acura in Chapell Hill and they gave me a 06 TSX loaner so i'll keep u guys updated when my car back

 

You have to find a dealer that owns its loaners, alot of dealers just go through Rental Agencies for loaners, and you have to be 25 to get a rental.

 

you dont have to be 25, when i got my recalls done i was barely 18 that was at vandergriff acura where parents bought car new though

 

Well i got my car back today and so far it runs great so hopefully it stays like that. The tranny shifts smoth both upshifting and downshifting. Performance Acura in Chapell Hill, NC did the service and i must say thats the best service i ever got at a dealership.

 

Even though you got the codes turned off dude....i recommend a tranny swap!

Acura does it for free if you dont have a 100k on your car!
