Dayum, today at work I put it in reverse and heard a horrible clunk...I knew what it was already... What really sucked is when I went home I was all excited because I was going to install my new OEM lights (which I did), but then when I started the car and tried to shift it to check out the reverse lights it wouldn't shift... I think my wallet is about to be "had".....Does anyone know how I get shift it so I can at least get it to the dealer...I live about 150 miles from the nearest dealership...Help.!!!!!!!!!!

 

so you cant get it into any gear? Have you tried sticking the key in the override slot on the side of the shifter. If none of that works its internal that wont let you shift and will have to be trailered or towed

 

Your's is a 99 with like 140k isn't it? Hope it's not the transmission being dead.

 

wow...i had that same clunk a few days ago...really loud when i shifted from park into reverse...but i waited and did it all over again and it worked fine...i'm waiting it out to see what happens now...cuz something had to have been wrong in mine for that to happen...hope all goes well with your car man, and maybe the dealership will help you out with the towing, try calling them up...good luck bro
