tranny rebuild
It can vary significantly from region to region and shop to shop.
As one data point, the previous owner of my 1999 TL paid about $3,000 to rebuild the transmission through an Acura dealership. The transmission itself was entirely rebuilt with new parts. The only reused part was the outer case/housing.
Note that the dealership did not assemble the transmission. They worked with a 3rd party transmission shop. My understanding is that this is a fairly common practice.
So you can probably get it done for less if you shop around and if only the worn parts are replaced.
And don't forget to check on the warranty. My transmission came with a 2 year/ unlimited mileage warranty but some warranties are much more limited.
