tranny problem

Today I was entering an on ramp in tiptronic. I shifted into 3rd and it was like I was in nuetral revving my engine. At that moment I let off the gas and then the tranny shifted terribly. The whole way home it was acting up and in 2nd and reverse as well. The wierd thing is that later that night I took the car down the street to the gym and everything was fine again. My engine has 45, 000 miles.

That dont sound too good. It does sound that your tranny might be going, yet again hopefully not. I have a 99 tl 4-speed tranny with 85,000 miles and I havent had any problems yet. I dont know if the 4-speed trannies are better? But I remember one day it wouldnt shift past 2nd when I was racing some car. But when I shut the car off and turned it back on it worked fine again.

thats a tranny problem. the reason it acted normal later is because every thing was cool. Once every thing gets hot it will do it again. might want to keep a good eye on i while normal driving. You will see the slight slipping between shifts (mostly 2-3) and it will eventually get worse. May want to look into getting it in soon
