i have a 2001 tl with 102,000 miles. im having a problem with my tranny. when i first start it up, then i shift from park down to 5 its pretty rough sometimes. but i have no problem when i drive and doesnt hard shift. but sometimes when i shift from park again its nice and smoothe. so i dont know the problem. so can you guys help me out.

 

Take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

Unless it has a salvage title, the car will still be covered by the extended warranty on the transmission. You might as well have an Acura dealer check it out.

And if the transmission fails outside of the warranty, you'll have documentation that you reported a problem. That could help you get coverage for an out-of-warranty repair.
