Ok, my dam engine light and traction control light, and that stability control light come on, also my idle drop at time to 200 rmp's, i am about to have a master tune up done on the car, so that might fix the idle, now as for the rest of the light they go on and of when they want, it wont come on for a week, and then they return. Can someone help me with all this crap! dont know were to start.

Lets start with what year model and current miles you have
Next- what was the last thing it did before the weird light show?
Check the trans fluid dipstick for a burned oil smell

What is a master tune up?

Lets start with when the lights are on GET the codes read. Its free at most all auto parts stores. Then come back here and we can tell you where to go from there. Other wise we are just guessing

I am going to go out on a limb here and ask what type of trans fluid you used and what method- drain 3 qts and refill and thats all you did for the trans? ANd it had never been done before???

the timing belt waterpump service we call The 105 because thats when its due per the book.

Does the transmision now- or was it- slow in engaging in Drive from Park- or slow shifting between gears or noisy or feels funny at all- like its slipping when you jump hard on the throttle at 35mph????

i had the trans fluid done at easy lube, and they refiled it with 3 quarts, but no the trans never had does problems. they main performance issues i have is the idle droping rely low about 200 rpm

well... im not sure if this is my problem exactly, but sounds kinda like it. so i was driving home today from providence RI, prbly going like 70ish on crusie control. all of a sudden, cruise control shuts off and my TCS light and check engine light up, and go out after like 3 seconds maybe. car definetly slowed down, but very marginally, right when it happened. then obviously slowed down more when i didnt gas it. si i slowed down to like 50, driving and everything was fine. bout 5-10 min later, im going 65 and it happened again, same exact thing. only those light flashed, everything else was fine. no weird noises nothing. then bout another 5 min later happens again, this time a pretty good bump it felt like. im pretty much ready for the tranny to blow out on me now. i slowed don but kept cruising like 55-60, and nothing for a while so i sped up and drove prbly another 30 min. parked the car, left it for hour and a half, drove home, no problems

car is a 99 tl with bout 160,000 on the clock. i dunno the tranny history with it seeing as i got it off the auction bout 7 months ago. seems to run fine tho. only thing i did before the trip was pour like half a can of seafoam into half empty tank. then i filled up to full after, and drove to providence. when this happened my tank was at around half empty. lol sorry for the short story, but figured i'd give all the details.

so whats the verdict? possible transmission? or could it be just say some bad gas? its not throwing any codes on the dash, should i have dealer take a look? closest acura dealer is in hartford CT from me, any chance a honda dealership can do it? thanks guys

Max
Did they use the proper Honda ATF or the usual dextron3 found in other cars
Thats stuff is only approved as an emergency top off fluid- then you have to do the 9 qt full system changeout on the TL

Many trans are fine until a partial fluid change such as yours, then they act up and die.
The dragging down the idle could be in the torque convertor or clutches
It needs a trans check out by the dealer
