So i have a 2000 TL TRanny was replaced about 8,000 miles ago. But when i stomp on the gas it rev's and hit rev limiter vooomvoomvooom pretty much going into 3rd gear the only way to get it back into gear is putting it into d2 or ss shift or come to a complete stop and gear ingages. I have replaced all Battery cables both neg and positive. chcked tranny fluid and all ground everything is good. So I went to the tranny shop where i got it done he said it was the tps sensor. he should me on the computer that we hooked up to the car that it doesnt read voltage alll the time. I dont buy it.


IS THERE ANYWAY TO TEST THE TPS SENSOR??????? plEASE HELP I KNOW I HAVE POSTED SIMILAR THREAD BARE WITH ME PLEASE.....

Are these any sign off a faulty tp sensor in your opinion or tranny????? It happens going over speed bumps (Only sometimes) AND THATS NOT STOMPING ON THE PEDAL!!!

 

do a search for voltage test + TPS on the internet
I dont have the spec but if they were able to show you on the scope
and you get it over bumps,,sounds reasonable

I would start with clean its power connections, does it look loose or crudded?

Anyone in the 209 with a reader?? harmz do you have one?

 

you ckd trans fluid correctly? how does it look and smell?

from cold: 15 minutes freeway cruise- get off -park- engine off in Park, ck level between the dots

Have a different trans shop look at it
