TL ecu problem

this question might sound stupid but anyways i'm tryin to narrow down the problem with my 99 TL. IF the ECU got submerged in water which is more than likely damage, will the car even turn over or start after that? I my GSR when the ECU is out the car turns over but wont start so i would like to if the TL is the same way thanks

Even if the ECU survives the water bath, corrosion will eventually set in and ruin the circuit board and electrical contacts, thereby causing intermittent faults or total failure.

You'll also need a working ECU to supply the properly timed ignition and fuel injection pulses to the engine for it to run.

does the green immobilizer key on your dashboard stay lit/blink or go off when you try and start the car?

If it blinks when you're starting the car, it doesn't recognize the key. We went over this in your PMs to me. If you have other chipped keys on your keychain that can cause problems.
