Timing kit, valve cover gasket, etc.
Well, fellow ziners... The time has come to replace the timing belt/water pump kit for my 2003 tl type s along with spark plugs, tube seals, cam seals, cranks seal. Basically everything you could need for a slight tune up (feel free to add anything else I might need done as my car has 240k miles
. So yeah I'm pretty much replacing all that with the t belt, water pump, tensioner, idler all that good stuff. Just dropped ol girl off at my local auto tech, cool guy been around forEVER in my city and does very reputable work (from what I've heard. I guess I'll find out in 2 days). Lol I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on how everything turns out!! Oh and btw he's charging me about $800 for labor I bought all the parts already, how is that for general labor on timing kit, valves cover replacement??
Any my and all feedback is much appreciated, thanks again guys!!

With the age and mileage you're at, I'd have him adjust the valves, and replace all the seals between the oil pump and engine block, oil filter adapter, vtec solenoid and sensor, etc. Unfortunately, this will require additional labor in removing the oil pan, and additional labor to adjust the valves. The price seems fair to me, especially when you're supplying the parts, which does cut into his normal profit. The additional parts are minimal, and I would guess another $200 -$400 or so.
