Blower motor nightmare

So my hvac doesn't move air as strong as it should on all increments. Heater works fine and A/C blows cold, changed out the cabin air filter. Air/mix control switches as it should. I'm in the process of changing out the blower motor and resistor to new ones. Already got the new parts on hand, ready to go in. I go to work on the parts and was initally disgusted with what I found. Took off the old parts and proceeded to take these photos:

Looks like I'll have to go to the junkyard to find a clip. Question here is, anyone know, based on where the wires are coming from the car, is - or + ? PIN diagram maybe? Are those even the right wire gauges to use?

Wow it looks like they've stuffed bunch of hondabond into the connector.

There was a TSB back in the day for the hvac blower motor connector melting due to excessive current. Whoever did that repair took it to another level

Luckily for you there is a hvac sub-harness available at your local dealer which will plug right into your new blower motor. They may no longer stock it but I'm sure you can special order it.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I'm also gonna try the junkyard and see what else I can find.

this is what you need. if you find one at a wrecking yard more likely its going to be melted.

Yellow/Black is Blower Motor positive.
Blue/Red is Blower Motor to Power Transistor then ground.

Gauge of wires look fine (same gauge or a little larger).
