timing belt
hey guys.. i have a little over 106xxx miles on my tl-s. i havent had my timing belt done yet. is this something that needs to be done asap or could i wait a little bit longer, maybe when the weather breaks?

Its more about age than miles. In general, most can go past 105 and not live in fear-

I just rolled 110,XXX today and still haven't done the t-belt, although I have an appointment later this week to get it done. You're fine as long as you don't run it hard with extreme accelerations and hard shifts, but unfortunately there aren't any warning signs before it snaps that I'm aware of.
Wanna ship it down to ATL this week to see if we can get 2-fer-1 pricing?
As others have said in the past, it's an expensive maintenance item, but a much more costly repair item if neglected.

I just did mine a couple of weeks ago with 130K and there was not a single crack in the belt. I would bet it would have gone 200K or better, but having the new one definately gives me the warm and fuzzies

Not sure of TL, but I drive honda crx and stories is that if tbelt breaks for honda then engine replacement is the most viable solution. I believe it isi same for acura.
