Throwing some codes

Well I just got home from refing soccer, and decide to go fill up my car. So as I turn on the car I see the Matin Reqd, so i head over to autozone anc acquire P1361 and P1366... I was just wondering if anybody has come across those codes and what was a fix for that.

How is the car running
A TDC sensor is part of the crank trigger ignition- telling when cylinder is at top to fire spark

shell is a tier 1 brand- its fine
You did 3 clicks on the gas cap right?

I would look for a loose connector at the sensor- go armed with wd40 and look in the engine bay

Ok for starters the MAINTENANCE Required light doesnt have or show any codes. Its a reminder for oil changes. The Check Engine Light does. Which one is it.

Reset the Maintenance required light, AND the ECU and see if you get either again

if no engine light is on , dont worry bout it. you probably had some stored codes history. maint. light can be reset by holding both the select and reset buttons with the key off. while holding buttons turn ignition on, dont start vehicle ! just ignition on. the light is going to go aways after like 11 seconds , when is gone, you can let go the buttons. that should reset your maintenance light

I got these 2 codes. Thursday, I washed the engine bay with Simply Green and weak garden hose spray. Should have covered the electronics, etc. but since I was using very weak spray, I did not.

Friday, the car ran fine whole day without issue. On Saturday, CEL light comes on and the car shuts off while on the freeway. Had to pull over without causing any accident and brought it home on a "safe" or "limp" mode.

Borrowed OBD2 scan tool to pull of these 2 codes. Opened the engine cover, located the TDC sensor to the left hand side, close to the belt, unplugged and dried it, took fuse out for the clock, put everything back together, and no CEL issue after all.

I also bought OBD2 Bluetooth port off eBay for $10 so that I can use my Android phone and Torque app with it.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Mini-ELM327-V...item1c2b4ede30

This $10 item and Torque can configure your phone to show some extra gauges like voltage, engine load, actual coolant temp, etc. when not using it to actually scan and pull codes. Cool app for sure.
