so i got this 99 TL from down in alabama and i had it for like 2 yrs now-- ive been reading on here for a lil bit now about the "" INFAMOUS EGR CLOGGING UP ""
i decided to order all the gaskets from acura of brookfield here in wisconsin
i read the DIY section on how to clean it out
sure enough i took the intake manifold off and the EGR port on the manifold itself was COMPLETLEY CLOGGED---I MEAN CLOSED COMPLETLEY----and the throttle body itself was just a mess---it was black as hell
soooo i cleaned that bitch up so it looked brand new---i went threw 6 cans of carb cleaner and put it back together with all the correct torque specs
started it up and it ran AMAZEING----no problems at--no light came on or nuttin
