TDC Sensor Please Help!

TDC Sensor Please Help!

So my TDC or Camshaft position sensor went out and I need it replaced. I went to honda and they want to charge me $1000!!!! WTF!!! I nedd to know how to safely remove my timing belt and housing and put it back on correctly to get to the sensor. But I dont want to fuck up and destroy my engine! Please help!

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. There may still be a service manual to download here. Just search for it. That and the brothers here are always helpful.

does acura want to do the timing belt as part of the job? is that why 1000?
are you near the magic 105kmiles?
or they get you on labor to reach the part, and not replace other parts that are sitting right there..
not much of a service writer~

ck the Meets section for your town- there are many ziners have done the tbelt now and found its easy with right tools and experience, they can help you out

x2, much cheaper to do every thing else in there while you already got it all apart, and you just put the new parts on instead, especially if you are getting close to needing it done anyways

even then if you already got like 60-70k on the belt, i would just say go ahead and do it all, then be done with it for another 105k
