Red face TCS light came on after new tranny install. help

Well my tranny finally kicked it after 170,000 miles. Cars a 1999 TL with a 4speed auto. My TCS light had been on for a little while before the trans blew. I just had a rebuilt transmission installed with factory warranty at AAMCO. the job cost me 3200 to get done. i picked the car up the other day and the TCS light was still on, the technician said i needed to goto acura to get it cleared but that doesnt sound right to me... Is there anything i can do to get rid of it, or did they mess something up with the install? the car drives smooth as hell right now so i dont know if i should worry about it. any info helps! thanks guys/girls!

Sounds like they messed up something. Disconnect the battery for 10 min (make sure you have radi/navi codes first) then reconnect it and see if it stays off. If it doesnt bring it back to amco and make them fix it.

they shouldnt charge u for it. make sure to tell them to go over all the sensors. if it comes on when you put it in any gear? or when u actually start driving? might have missed a sensor or they broke it.

its got to be a loose/ broken sensor in or around the trans, aamco should find whats wrong and fix it at no cost to you. the sooner u get in to them the better

is there a tcs module in the vehicle? (new to TLs) maybe it was damaged by the tranny or is the cause of the trannys failure?

The TCS is part of the drivetrain. If the TCS light wasn't on when it went into the shop, it shouldn't be on after leaving it. They worked on your transmission and along the way messed something up or missed something. They are responsible, tell them it wasn't on when you took it in and it shouldn't be on now.
