the clutches wear out and material clogs the TC- thats our failure mode

No the noise is NOT normal--it didnt do it before right?
take it back to the shop
Sometimes it takes 2-3 times to get the TL rebuild correct- if they dont have much experience with our trans,,must be assembled right!

If it was rebuilt with kevlar clutches and they did a really good job,,100kmiles+ is not unreasonable IF you keep up with fluid changes

Nope that isnt Normal! Something went South....

100% With Kevlar Clutches but ohhh dude They are painfully expensive + The Normal Rebuilt Cost....
Im doing already +30,000K On Kevlar Clutches! with ATF Changes every Engine Oil Change! so 7500K

there may be slight noises as new parts wear into each other
but a quick test drive with a tech from the shop to assure you all is well- is a good idea

never know what got left loose...

that wackata wackata noise appearded then went away,,about the same time I saw a lower plastic engine shroud shoot out from the rear of the car and across the freeway
ooops, someone forgot to install the plastic pins!!

Do like 01tl said, sometimes when they open up the tranny for rebuilding, during this process they have to take all 3 nuts out from 3 shaft, main shaft, secondary and counter shaft, believe it or not the threads stretching over time so when they put the nuts back on the shaft sometimes the endplay will be off very little but enough for the wear pattern on the gears not line up, then you will get a very faint gear noise until the the gears wear in evenly, but if it's getting louder then there is something wrong. You will have to take it back to have them look at it.

noise shows when accelerating from stop(red light ect..),rattles at front pass side tire area, once u speed up noise is gone. But if i start off slow, the noise not ther.??
noise will not show on lift or standing still, went to tire shop to get it check, nothing and they send to aamco trani shop, same thing, they hear it only if driving.

Omg, 3 shops have no idea.
and said to drive it until the problem shows it self.
should i bring it to acura dealer$? or just drive

Have you personally gotten under the car and looked and pounded on the plastic under-pans,,there are a few hooked together and if installed wrong, or maybe missing some of the plastic retainer pins that hold them in?,,,those are easily damaged during removal

mine has that problem of pans/pins and some extra noises from that

The trans was just out of your car,,
Several things were removed along the way to reach it.
Go back and ck each one.. and the one next to it = assume the shop kid did the removal and had never seen a TL before~

Its usually the stupidest thing that stumps everyone
