Hey TL folks,

I was replacing my EGR yesterday and when I removed the cover I noticed a hose was not attached on the rear of the upper intake. A year ago I cleaned my EGR ports and had the UI removed and I am sure I put everything back together properly.

I looked all over for a loose hose and somewhere where a hose could go. I have combed this site, many others and not just getting a little upset.

Can somebody help me out and tell me where the hose that belongs here goes to?

Yea I have also wondered about that. In my car, it's just a hose that slips on over the nipple. No hose clamp or anything to keep it on. Slides right off too.

No clue what it does though

 

Does the other end of the hose go to anything? I remember when I did my EGR ports that I found it was odd that it was not clamped.

 

Ah ha! After searching 2 days found it on another site. Somebody asked the same question.

They state, "joins a vacuum line that T's to the canister and the purge control solenoid"

Does this sound right?

Wow, I feel like to total moron. I spent a long time looking under the hood for the hose. I finally found the end loose and tucked right under the wipers! LOL!

It's back on now.

That hose goes to the solenoid that controls your motor mounts.
