Strange Noise

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has this happen to them.

So I thought the noise was coming from the transmission but it's actually coming from the pedals. Usually only happens when I start up the car and I usually hear it twice. Once when I get into drive and again once I start driving but it disappears after that. (sound comes from acceleration pedal not braking pedal fyi)

Car is working fine so far. The noise sounds like a metal squeak.
Do you guys think it's serious or if there's anything wrong with it?

I also get another noise when I brake and turn left or right but it rarely happens. I only heard it once and it was like metal clashing together mildly. Not too sure what's going on if anyone has any clues let me know because I've tried googling this problem for a while to no avail.

there are 2 sounds after your `first start of the day` for the car-
as you begin to move forward it does a self test of the abs -then a 2nd test of the abs
at 5 and 15mph iirc,,,like 2 thunks

register as new owner with www.owners.acura.com and download operation/owner manual for free,,,tricks like that are found in the manual

you could have a bad motor mount- that would make noise, look for small trace of oily fluid from bottem of it,,do normal motor mount testing- or have a shop ck for you

turning noise- ck the brake pads,,could be low or moving around

also call 1 800 382 2238 x5 (usa cars) and register as new owner- ask if all recalls are taken care of

Canuks call 1 888 9acura9 to register

Wow just exactly like you described, I hear it twice when I first start up the car and again in a short bit like a thunk coming from the pedal.

Regardless I'm bringing it to the mechanic this week and I will let him know of what you described.

I will report back to let you guys know whats happening in case anyone else has an issue like this.

Thanks again man, you are a acura genius!!

I read this and about sh*t myself!!!! I have the same noise which i knew was normalish to happen. I always thought that it was some kind of noise coming from the oil jet kit they put in for the transmission recall.(I'm not a mechanic nor claim to know anything very in depth with our cars so don't make some douchey comment) I would listen to 01tl04tl, he is an acura tl genius.
