Strange Burning smell?? Any thoughts?

I have a 2000 TL, recently started emitting a strange burning smell coming out of the tail pipes. I checked under the car, and there doesn't appear to be anything melted on. It almost smells like burn off from a new car. The smell is coming out of the exhaust only, and only when it gets hot. I can really smell it when i'm pulled in my garage. The car has 19,000 miles on it, and i really only drive it in the winter months. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No, there's no smoke. Just the smell, and I could not see anything under the car..
Maybe I'll try using different gas?? Thanks for the Reply.

Nothing should be coming out of the tail pipe that would make it smell lke its butning, unless something crawled up in there. Does the smell go away at all when hot? Does it smell for a bit when hot or it doesnt go away at all when hot

Wow, 19,000 miles? Maybe it is that new car burn-off.

The smell only occurs after driving and the exhaust is hot. It goes away after a while when the car is idling. I thought about that, maybe a mouse or something made a nest in the exhaust. If that's the case, what should I do? Thanks again.
