Stereo / dash kit problem 2000 3.2 TL

I am using a kenwood deck. Or more specifically a Kenwood MP345U, which is a single din. The problem is that when installing the single din, it doesnt fit right. There is a gap about an inch or so long. What may be the problem. I am guessing it is with the dash kit, but these are the only dash kits offered for my Acura 2000 3.2 TL. When i see what the other people have done, they seem to have double din, as you all realize the factory stereo system is much bigger than the single din. Please help.

, are you missing the tray above or something, and what brand of dash kit is it??? did not think they would be that bad though

also a picture of said gap would do wounders (and not a close up), but more of a overall view

A picture would help. My Metra kit has a 1" pocket under the radio.

Double din for the win..lol jk

If you buy the metra single din kit there should be NO gaps, its the same kit they use for the double din with out the 1inch pocket.
