Angry Steering Wheel Shake

I have a 2002 tl s, I am tired of the steering wheel shake which is ruining my tires. I just bought a set of Yokohama YK 520, cost me a lot of money so would like to make them last. After intalling the new tires I had my alignment done, but the shake was back after a 1k mile or so. Is changing the rotors the fix all end all. I was thinking of getting the brembo rotors Part # 45251S0X000 at www.rockauto.com. If anybody has experience with these or any other brands please respond.

steering wheel sakes when braking, right? If so, it could be the rotors being warped. But if you feel it at certain speeds and during acceleration, it could be that the tires are not balanced properly.

yes, we need more information. BUT as csmeance said, if it is only when you are braking then almost certain is the rotors that are warped. If it shakes under acceleration or coasting could be the tires, bent rim, ball joints, half shaft etc etc etc...

A badly glazed set of pads or rotors can also cause the shake syndrome
Pull off the brake pads and inspect for a glassy shine- thats bad

Steering wheel shake is under normal cruising speed, and under braking. All tires balanced and allignment done after new tires intalled.

If it doesnt get worse under braking then look beyond the rotors at the possibilty of bad balance job on tires
Happens all the time- lazy or un educated person fails to align the marks on the tire with the valve stem- they are marked with heavy point so it gets mounted opposite of the valve stem- helps offset it, and then have them do balance and respin to check for final balance
They could have even bent a rim while installing tires
Always go back to the last thing you did before a problem occured and work forward

I got the same exact tires put on just last week, and now i'm getting the shake at cruising speeds. Unfortunately, I work in missouri, but live in minnesota, and i got the tires in minnesota. Would i get charged if i bring my car back to them to rebalance or something to fix the shake? It never vibrated at highway speeds until these tires.
