steering is not straight.

If order for my car to go straight i need to have the wheel slightly turned to the right i happened to notice this because i happened to notice the A on the steering wheel was not straight when i was driving strait.
Does this mean i need an alignment?
thanks

If that happens on a perfectly flat and straight road with all tires inflated to the correct pressure, the answer is Yes.

Another possibility is that one or more of your tires has a different wear pattern..

I once had a single tire in a set of four that developed a "cupped" wear pattern and the car would always pull to the side that the tire was mounted on. The alignment in that case was perfect and the problem was corrected when I replaced the tire.

So take a close look at your tires before having an alignment done. You may even want to rotate them to see if the car pulls to the other side.

Chances are you took a pothole hit or similar and knocked the alignment out- easy fix
