Static in speakers

Hey guys,
I just installed a set of Infinity components and running my stock HU. The one thing I noticed is I get a lot of static even when running cds. Could this because the bose HU only works well with bose speakers and anything aftermarket will run funny? Thanks in advance for the help!

Derek

The headunit is actually made by Pioneer, but I was told it had special circuitry for the Bose speakers. I do know that Bose speakers run different ohms than virtually all other speakers, so that may be your problem. Why replace Bose with Infinity, anyway?

Bose > Infinity

Thanks!
The components puts my level of sounds much higher so I can get much better sounds. Looks like I'll have to replace the deck with something better.

Louder does not equal better, but to each his own. In my experiences, Bose produces better quality sound than Infinity. And the stock headunit is 180w no matter what speakers it is powering.

Oh I meant level of sound as in the tweeters are placed higher in the car, not level of sound as in volume.
