Starting Problems on Busy Day
Starting Problems on Busy Day
Car has 83,000 miles on it.
On my busy days, when I have to start and stop allot, when I have to start it again it will start and then stall right away, have had this problem before.
The only way get the car to go is to keep the engine revved up around 2 or 3 rpms while keeping my foot lightly on the break and putting it into drive (allot of times parallel parked so got to do this in reverse and drive until out of spot and on the go), then letting go of the break to go, after the car gets going it will stay level until I start & stop again.
What could this be?
Can't help but think its the same problem as before, when I brought it to the Acura dealership months ago and took them a week to try to find out what was wrong, which they never really did find out I think?
What they did do is replace injectors & regulators. And said would need new ECU

Definitely search the forum for "stall" and you'll find a ton of threads.
But here are a couple of quick thoughts.
Is the dash immobilizer key symbol flashing when the car won't start?
If so, you might have a problem with your key or the ignition switch.
Have you tried another key?
Do you have a second Honda or Acura key on your keychain? If so, and if it is an immobilizer type, that can cause your car to stall. I actually had a stalling problem with my 1999 TL that was due to a Honda key on my keychain.
Have you ever had your Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) cleaned? These can stick and cause low RPM stalls.
Good Luck!
