stalling, PLEASE HELP!

Make a long story short I have a 99 tl, when I start it, it runs like crap at an idle. Almost like its running on three cylinders. And it wont stay running at an idle, it stalls all the time. If I bring the RPM's up it SEEMS LIKE it runs smooth. This just happened all of a sudden, I can say that I was flooring it a couple of times before that, but its never done that. Please help.

May have a bad coil or 2, or burnt a spark plug in the fun runs
If you can make it to a parts store- have the codes read and report back here

Otherwise pull the spark plugs= they tell you whats happening in most cases

The problem is that I am getting NO CEL, nothing at all. I checked the plugs........they look good. The only thing that I think sounds different I think the intake is hissing louder. I even checked the coils by unplugging them while the car is running, and they are all working. The plugs should be fine right? All of them are dry, meaning that they are working. Remember this happened just after I floored my car couple times. I just had a new timing belt, tensioner, water pump put on it. I am going to check and see if the belt is tight, because if its not the belt might of skipped a tooth or two. I dont know, but yeah my IAC, Egr have all been cleaned out recently in the past. I might just start with a new set of plugs. I even checked out my fuses. I did see that I was about a quart low on oil, but my car when its not idling seems like its smooth, no noise coming from the engine. Do you think even with no CEL on that I should still take it to AUTOZONE and have them scan it? Oh well,Please keep me posted with ideas. Thanks.

If you hear hissing maybe you have a vacuum leak which would cause that. Especially if you just had work performed on the engine. Maybe a hose or connector wasn't installed properly or came loose-? Or maybe one or more of the plugs is fouled- have seen that happen shortly after installing new ones.

Well, I appreciate all the info you guys have given me. I found a tear on the hose that goes from your thermostat housing to your intake tube. So I replaced it and took it for a ride................It still ran like crap at an idle then cleared up after about 5 minutes of driving. Now it runs perfect! Thats all it was, but confused me at first because it didnt fix it right away, it took about 5 minutes of driving to fix it. Oh well, back in love with my Acura again.
