Unhappy srs warning - 2003 TL Type S, non navi

Help!!!! I somehow tripped the SRS warning light and it is now on constantly. Two things may have led to this. I removed the back seat in eforts to get the stock sub amp to work with an aftermarket hu. No luck, put everything back. I did accidentally remove a belt bolt from the back seat. I also accidentally blew the reverse lights fuse when installing the rear view camera that came with the radio. The only wires I have cut into are the sub amp's. I have checked all interior fuses on both sides of the dash. Is there some way to reset the light without going to the dealer?

If you are still under warrenty you can just tell the dealer it came on by itself...........don't go telling them more than you need to

When mine was on it had something to do with with the passanger seatbelt buckle which apparently has a lifetime warranty.

Just had my seatbelt buckle replaced as well because of the SRS light.

Thanks. Any idea where the MES connector is on the TL? Lots of yellow and green connectors that might be it.

Yes!!!!

Thanks for the info all. Just tried the fix and got it on the second try. I was really dreading going to the dealer even though it wouldhave probably been a non-issue. Thanks again!

Glad we could help. If it does com back on bring it to the dealer. That means something is wrong. If that light is on, None of the airbags will work in the event of a accident, and if your in a 02-03 your seat belt pretensioners wont work either
