Hi, when I installed an sri on my tl, it makes a noise that sounds similar to when you blow on, or wind hits a beer bottle. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

 

I had a SRI on my 02 TL-S and it made like a humming sound, probably what you're describing, but that hum was just so loud!
I'm not sure what causes the air flow to make that noise, but after awhile I just bought a CAI and no more hum!

Another thing i noticed is that if you put 2 pieces of piping the humming does go away, (rigged up using part of my brother's intake.) But CAI would be an option to consider.

what brand cai did you install- is it full length to front of car? or just a short intake inside engine compartment?

 

SRI = All the noise, No show..
Do it right and go for a CAI this time.
