Squealing noise in reverse
note on aftermarket rear pads
Some have an extra tab on the backing plate-
if present it hits the caliper piston first and makes the pad extend crooked-
result is only half the pad contacts the rotor!!
the correct pads have a tab at one end for the noise maker arm, and may have another at opposite end that does nothing
the wrong pads have another raised tab/peg in the top center of inner pads backing plate
easy way to tell after they are installed is ck the inner side of rear rotor for wear
If rusty on half its width and shiny other half--guess what!
You can grind that tab off and reuse pads if angled wear not severe, it will even back out
