squeaking rear

My rear sway bar squeaks like hell. Can anybody tell me what the plastic part is called that the sway bar runs through where it is bolted?

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. The squeak is coming from the red plastic...

Do I need to replace or is there some kind of lubricant that will take care of this?

looks like you have aftermarket polyurethane bushings- is that correct?

a little brake caliper type grease (heavy/water resistant) on them may help.
most come with a small packet, but it wears off

have you installed new rubber sway bar end links too?
the stock ones tend to break if the car is lowered or thicker sway bar installed
use MOOG brand from any parts store if they are part of the problem

the bar may be moving if the end links are bad- causing the other noise

I'm not sure if those are aftermarket (i havent replaced them) but I did not think they looked like OEM.

I'm in the process of putting kyb's on and the end links were too rusted so I had to pretty much break them off. I ordered moog brand last night and will be replacing them today.

I'll try caliper grease too just to be sure. Thanks

Pics are blocked from work but Energy makes greasable sway bar bushings. They have a nipple on the bottom of them that you can connect a grease gun to.

My Comptech sways squeak sometimes but a good shot of grease in the bushings and it goes away.

I actually found the greasable ones online this morning...none of the parts stores around my house seem to stock them or can even get them for that matter.

I'm going to throw some lube on the current ones and replace the the endlinks with moog's and see if that takes care of it *fingers crossed*

those look like hard plastic-is that correct?--red is often suspension techniques brand

the stock ones are black rubber iirc

I always use synthetic bearing grease on non-nipple equipped poly bushings,,otherwise they make noise

nipple equipped- remember to regrease yearly with a grease gun,,use good water resistant grease
