Spare Key

I am looking to get a spare key for my 99 TL, since this is my first car where the key has a chip in it I just wanted to get some advice, first of all is it safe to purchase one on ebay since I'm assuming the dealer would be expensive? Or what would be a good price to pay for the key and to cut it? Thanks in advance

The problem with getting one on ebay is that they can just get a rubber blank with no chip and you are stuck. Plus, the dealer charges more to code the key than the key itself so it is hard to say you are getting too ripped off. Plus, i hate to trust my cars securty to some guy on ebay, ya know?
