Sound like nail in rear tire
I notice yesterday this distinct sound like a nail in the left rear tire, but did a quick check, no nail or rock. It does sound like a nail is in the tire tho.
Got home from work, jack it up and did a free spin, no noise, I even replace another whole wheel on the rear and still sound.. rotate tires and still sound.. fiddle with brakes still sound when test drive.
I'm suspecting it's the rear wheel bearing, however there's no play on the wheel.. Any thoughts?

using a mechanics stethoscope- Harbor freight tools has them under 5 bucks, any parts store for under 10, everyone should own at least 2 !
corner jacked up- jackstand in place, have buddy spin wheel while you listen to bearing area
Gravel sound is bad
any other work done recently? ckd for rock in brake caliper?
does it go with car speed- increasing tempo?

Good idea, didn't think of the stethoscope.. I have this in my box.. i'll try it when get home today.
And yes.. it does increase in tempo as speed increase.
Also notice that if i turn right, sound tend to fade.. but not straight and left turn, i can hear it distinctively, reason why i am leaning toward the bearing.

Yeah, chance that the bearing is possibly going. But, no play ?
Perhaps something within the rear brakes, maybe the parking brake shoes or even the rear backing plate ?
Try jacking up the car and rotate the wheel by hand on the suspected side.

With it changing its sound when turning one way over the other its usually a bearing. Bearings usually hum though as they go bad. Just because you didnt feel any play doesnt mean its not bad, often you wont get any play. Other things are brakes. Try setting the parking brake 1 or 2 clicks and see if it happens. Try applying the brakes slightly while driving and turning back and forth to see if it stops.
