so my battery died..

its an 03 tl-s with 47xxx miles on it.

i tried turning the car on but it wouldn't crank. all my lights and stuff were on but it started to die out. i took out the key and somehow the navi and some of the lights were still on? waited a bit and it turned off by itself. my friend came over to jump start it for me but it died out later on again.

so i'm planning to get a optima red top 34/78 cuz i heard the 75/35 didn't fit too well. is there anything else i should look into prior replacing my battery?

most batteries last 3 maybe 4 years
If you like to sit and listen to the stereo for hours, or you have a giant amp system, then the Optima is well worth it
caveat!- there have been reports of duds in their production too

Make sure you know the radio and nav security codes before disconecting the battery

Have the system tested at local parts store for free

My oem battery died at that mileage too. Eye was still green when it died. Even if it didn't die, just replace it when you feel it is weak.

anyone know why the car was still on when i tried to turn it off and even pull out the key? i have an aftermarket alarm w/ remote start btw. the last time this happened was when i tried auto starting but my engine wouldn't crank but everything else was still on and that was when my my check engine light came on and it was time for my tranny to go. this time i know for sure its my battery so could it be an electrical issue or is this normal?

Acura battery has a 5 year warranty on it, see if they will replace it for free.

I bought the cheapest battery I could buy... it's not something I care to spend money on. I believe a local kragen put it in for $80 after core charge refund. I was pleased and it'll last 2-3 years. Then I'll do the same.
