YO whats going on,
So it was a bit colder here this morning in NC and i noticed while trying to shift my stick from PARK to Drive all the gears kinda stuck. It would do it when it was a little warmer out but now its getting colder and its sticking more. Any solutions? thanks

 

Can you give a little better description on "stuck"? How cold are we talking? Are you turning on the car then IMMEDIATELY shifting or letting it warm up a little first?

 

mines does it to like i will have to put some muscle into it sometimes to get it to move from p to r or d

 

thats not a healthy sign for the trans

 

It was only about 45 degrees F. While shifting its almost like shifting through a gummy substance. I let the car war up for aproxx. 30 secs. So should i let it warm up more or some how grease the shifter mechanism.

 

Have you ever spilled any soda by the shifter area?

 

maybe thats the prob soda. i alwas let my car warm up like 5 to 10 mins thats good right?
