shifter lockout circuit

I went to my car and the safety feature of locking the shifter in park until the brake is pressed was engaged and even though I pressed the brake petal, it did not disengage it.

I also noticed I no longer have brake lights. Does anyone have the circuit diagram for the brake switch/shifter lock circuit?

could be just a bad brake switch, its attatched to the pedal.

Check the fuse first. Same thing happened to me. So I replaced the brake switch and it still didn't work. Turns out the fuse blew.

There is not a dedicated fuse for the brake light system. It is included within one of the other fused system and all were checked to be good. It was the brake switch.

Had phone quote from Acura for $150 to fix. Brake switch was $32

Thanks for your help.
