Cigaretteighter under neath radio and the shifter lights are not working. Haven't got my Haynes in yet to figure it out. And in Manual and fuse box diagrams I can't find anything. Everything else works though. Thanks for any help.

 

Sorry for noob post. Car is a 2000 TL automatic.

 

grab the 12volt test light and start cking fuses
may not have exact function you need listed on cover- have to test all

 

do any work on the car at all- recently- before this happened?

 

I just bought it a week ago. Radiator. Sway bar end link. Tires balanced and a good detailing. It's did this from day one. It's weird the accessory power outlet works behind the shifter in the rear center console. And all radio works. Seems all cars I've had before share radio and cigarette lighter on a fuse.

 

My shifter light usually doesn't come on when I put the lights on but I give the console a tap and it lights up. I obviously have a loose bulb or such, but yours may be a fuse if the lighter also doesn't work.

 

that power outlet/lighter on dash tends to get pushed in, may have grounded out and popped fuse (note the small area next to lighter has label NOT AN ASHTRAY)

since you are a new owner here are things you need to make your life much better
the owner manual - lots of important info in it- free download from acura

and register with acura care- they handle recall notices and you may need some airbag parts! 1 800 382 2238 x5 gets a human
Need the cars VIN number for both those places

On that new radiator, follow book directions for burping the system -even it its been running, burp per book
its not just add coolant and wait a few minutes like a normal car,,few things are like a normal car on the TL!
The temp should come up in a few minutes driving to 1-2 lines below half- and stay there regardless of operation conditions. If it moves there is a problem!!
