Unhappy rusting on rotors

Whats up guys, I bought rotora slotted and crossdrilled rotors off of excelerate about a month ago, Now they are rusting, This sucks, I am so pissed cause I spent a good amount of money on these. Is this something that should happen? I dont think so. I am not happy, can anyone let me know if this is a defect with the rotors, or is there any way to get that rusting off of them? Is there something that I have to put on to protect these?

It depends on where it's rusting. If its happening on the part that is painted black then that is not supposed to happen. If its on the actual surface of the rotor (the silver part) thats normal I belive.

On mine there is a ring of rust on the front rotors were the pads never contact the metal that really pisses me off, but I've seen the same exact pattern on other 2nd gens so I guess its normal.

you could spray a ring of rustoleum or clearcoat where the pads don't contact. everywhere else is normal. your pads will scrape the rust off as you brake. there's not much else you can do about that given the nature of science and metals left outdoors. all rotors will rust really.

I bought a pair of Rotora slotted front rotors and new Greenstuff pads last week to replace my slightly warped identical front rotors. What I notice is that the quality of the new set is not as good as the old set whcih was bought a couple years ago. First of all, the black coating on the hub has paint chips all along the edges. Then the slots are not cut as deep into the metal as the old set. On the other hand, the EBC Greenstuff looks as good as the old set.

I also have this problem. I hate how unsightly it is, but you can stop what occurs naturally.
