Rough Idle

Hey guys i was reading arround a lil and was trying to figure out what the prob with my car is

im creeping towards 70k and wondering if i need to change the plugs. IM getting a rythmic rough idle, which i think is the plugs not the egr (my altima egr went bad i know how that feels). I dont think it would be the iacv cuz sometimes when i accelerate i get a miss like it will take off jerk/pause and continue accel'ing. Im really leaning to the plugs but the ngk plats are like 65$ any recommendations on the plugs or should i check something else first.

Thanks ill start searching again. ps anywalk thrus to change the plugs

Possible plugs. It could be the EGR ports (not the egr itself) the TL has a messed up system that plugs easily. I would start out with teh plugs. I would recomend sticking with the oem ngk.

also a worn out motor mount could be causing some of the rough idle you may be feeling

Yeah if you're going to replace anything, start with the plugs. I just received my NGK Iridium-IX's today and man did they help. Super smooth idle and slight improvement on acceleration. I'm guessing it will help the gas mileage a little too. Why not just devote a whole day to this and replace your plugs, take off the intake manifold and clean it and the EGR port out? You could polish it too

Oh yeah, before you do anything, I'd try reseting your idle. The 5th post by acurabum tells you how to do it. I did it 2 days ago and it was a night and day difference After 145,680 miles it sure helped me
