Red face Which Road Should I Take

My car is hitting 195000km and i have already fixed more then a few things on the car. Everytime i fix something, the car runs fine for about 2-3 months, then a different problem arises. most recent problem was the tires which i changed. Before that was a broken axile which was fixed. Now the car misfires and sometimes stalls upon starting. I would be thankful if someone who have experienced the same problem advise me a solution for the stall problem. Anyways, i want a second opinion from you guys. What would you guys do if you were in my situation. Should i keep the car or should i sell it or trade it in for a 07 - 08 economy car, which would be more upfront but gives me less headache down the road. Or, keep my 10 year old second gen T.L and do a full maintanence hoping it will last another 2yrs or 40000km. During that them i could save up put down more money on car so i get charged less interest. This is a delima. Please let me know what you guys think thank you

keep ur TL - cus TL's are awsome. a new econo car wont offer the features our TL's have. its worth fixing up your TL. in 10 more years they will be worth more money i think because the 2009 TL looks like a buck tooth rabbit.

i would never get rid of my 2ng gen TL - you should not either. of coarse you have to be willing to put money into a 10 year old car. if you are ok with that then do it. good luck

would the cost of a little maintenance outweigh a new car payment?

I guess it all depends on how sick of fixing the little stuff you are. I would go the full maintenance route and hang on to it. Should last you 2 more years IMO.

Take the road less travelled.

Tires and axels wear out, the cost of driving a car. A misfire could be a coil pack or even a spark plug. I'd look at fixing it and keeping it. I sold my Legend at 175,000 miles on it and it was still super reliable to the family who bought it. I expect at least that from a TL. Even if you spend $1000 on fixing the problem, you're still $20,000 ahead of a new car.

tires?!?! you gotta change tires on every car, that doesn't even count as a problem.. all the problems you mentioned just sounds like normal maintenance.
i would keep the TL, for the price, there's nothing better imo.. i'm at almost 260 000km and not even thinking about selling the car. you just have to take care of it like every other car.

Keep it. Since ur on this site, just post your problem and there's a lot of ppl will share your pain. Mine one just hit 195000 mi (not KM) and I intent to keep it another 10 years.
If you know problem and answer it save you a lot of money.

the engine is just getting broken in at those miles/km's!
put some new plugs in it- clean the TB and intake manifold- and the egr port for sure will probably fix your running problems
Dont lower it- drive it and enjoy without extra stresses on suspesion

Save the money up for a few years-- when cars sold in america will be cheap--- and come from the same place wallyworld gets its stuff~

keeping and maintain the car should definitely save you money overall...
if you are getting a car long later down the road...get another Acura...
not just regular economic cars...those economic cars does need more maintence than Acuras...
