Rislone Transmission ( Stop Slip )

165k miles, original tranny - mostly highway miles... 3rd gear is starting to slip pretty bad, in ss mode and in auto.

I normally do a drain and fill every 10k miles since 70k. 3.4 qts each time.

I wanted to see if anyone has tried this product. Information can be found at www.rilsone.com

I recently tried lucas's transmission slip stop. Its been great the last two days. My second gear is going bad.

99TL Original trans---265k!!!

Cant tell you about the long term effects yet. Other than that its DW-1 in there.

I have used Lucas transmission fix after my acura slipped bad enough to not move. The Lucas lasted 150 more miles then it was time for the transmission to be rebuilt.

Once the clutch packs are worn there is nothing short of a rebuild that will fix it.

Once clutch packs are worn nothing will fix it. Think of the clutchpacks as brake pads. Very similar thing. they grab a plate like the brakes grab the rotor. Once the pads are worn there is nothing you can do to make them last longer. These additives only slightly prolong at best the inevitable. They arent cures or fixes.

I had a brief conversation with a very good mechanic, to be continued
After telling a Legend owner about acuras bulletproof trans- I brought up gen2 probs
He says there are additives `acura wont tell you about` to make the gen2 trans behave,,(does not include already toasted trans) he ran auto shops for 28 years!
Going for a test drive in my car with the long term slight shudder shift and see what he thinks about it
