Exclamation right headlamp failure?!

So I just randomly lost power In my right headlamp. I had checked The fuse and it was blown so I replaced it. Unfortunately, my headlamp is still out. I only have light coming from my parking lights. I have a slight condensation issue with my lamp as well. I can't have this damn thing lookin funny again. Help? Tickets are booming in soflo. And PS the fuse hasn't blown again so I have no clue what could be going on

Your old HID headlamp components are in need of replacement, ASAP to avoid a ticket.

Which components tho? I replaced with new HID bulbs not that long ago. :/ and paste night I noticed that sometimes it would start flickering on and off. So the bulb is good because it isn't dim. My guess is there must be a short or no contact with the wiring

Yeah, the wiring connections.....grounds....ballast & inverter could be compromised by any moisture visibly present. Corrosion spells trouble and eventual death to our original HID's.

So, for less than $100.....consider an aftermarket replacement kit to replace the entire set-up with new troublefree stuff. Check the "DIY" sticky and past threads for installation tips.

Thanks! And is there a common place where water would leak or something? I saw a possible breach for leaks on the top of the lamp and sealed it myself with silicone gel. Problem is I now see droplets months later. :/

I just bought my TL last week, and with a little rain yesterday, my right HL is filled with condensation. I called the dealer, and they pretty much said that the seal attaching the lens to the body is damaged somewhere. I was going to buy a used one from here, but I decided the best thing would be to buy a brand new one (no issues). So it arrives on Tuesday. I would try swapping your right and left ballasts (if you are able) to see if the ballast or the bulb is bad.

bs on swaping parts
If you have moisture you have the same issue we all have- after 10+ years its time for some modern technology- that's waterproof!
www.hidextra.com is a trusted source for many on here and only 59$ before coupon

their `kit` has 2 ballast 2 great quality bulbs and the connector wire
all you have to buy is a $2 box of inline connector or butt splice
don't need the relay or anything else as we have hid stock- we are just swapping in new parts
suggest the standard 35watt ballast and 5000k bulbs= to best see objects you wish to avoid

If replacing one housing due to moisture- the other probably has it too, or will
with those avail for about 75$ its well worth doing both sides, and both sides get the new kit parts too

I just ordered mine for $72 with shipping, one side only. I doubt there will be much better pricing than that for new parts. I did find a set for about $130 shipped, but I only needed the right housing.

try our vendors- main list link at top of pages or pop up ads for them, several dealers give us the hookup and the ads for what is being discussed in a thread seem to appear with frightening timing.......they are watching

groove its ok to post where you got a good deal like that- help another ziner out

note: apply and buff a few coats of synthetic car wax to the lens face of the new -and sanded/cleaned old lights- that seals the lens plastic up well against road grit and wear

any internet search for the housings will find the one for 75, also look in `the black market` section on here
`Sponsored Sales` is the dealers and others with new parts that hook us up
call a few if you don't see a post for the housing
our search feature works well too

My right headlight also went out sometime back. I took the bumper off and the right headlight out.... proceeded to take the ballast out and immediately noticed that when shaken there was water swooshing and swishing around....

I bought a new headlight at Headlight Depot and new ballast kit from HIDExtra. Going to install them on the car later this week.
