Hello all. It's been a while since I've posted. My car has been sitting in a garage for a year or so since I've been overseas. I had someone I know start the car a few times a month and drive it around to get food so it wasn't just sitting. I have a few questions that I was hoping to get some help with.

Issue 1 - The plastic and glass is broken on my 00 TL, but the housing is fine. It may take some time, but I should be able to take a motor and glass from a working unit and use in my housing so it color matches correct?

Issue 2 - ABS and TCS lights stays on. It's not an issue with my transmission, it shifts fine and has been for a while. The main thing I noticed was I have been losing PS fluid, a bottle worth every 2 weeks. What would you recommend I checking out first when looking into the repair. Steering is fine hen fluid is in, can't steer worth **** without it. The brakes are extremely soft, I have to give a big buffer to stop. I'm guessing that's because the ABS lights on. I have checked all the relevant fuses and relays already.

 

i just replaced the whole mirror assy on my car and i kept the broken one. if your interested, i'd be happy to give you the internals, but you'd still need to find the glass on your own. i could even point you in that direction if you want.

oh btw.....which mirror? mine would be useless to you if your right mirror needs to be replaced since mine is the left one that i replaced.

Brakes- probably should have fluid replaced, esp. if you don't know if it's ever been done, and bled of air. Vacuum bleeder is very useful and not too expensive. What does the fluid in the master cyl. resv. look like?
