Need some help with this. I'm looking to replace the console panel in my car (it's the piece below the silver shifter gate with the cutouts for the Not An Ashtray thing) because of stains and other marks. My question is how many other things will I have to remove before I can unbolt that part? Maybe someone here has done this before? Thanks with any help you can provide...

yeah it's not hard to get to at all. maybe 16 screws (at most) holding the whole console in. nothing to worry about.
