Question Replace Gear Indicator Bulb (D5)

Hello All,
I have a 2001 TL that the D5 indicator recently blew out on. I purchased a replacement bulb from Honda (78181-SS0-003) and attempted to replace it this weekend.

I thought this was going to be a simple pull the cluster out, replace the bulb, and reassemble but apparently not.

According to the service manual I have to remove the gauge assembly, disassemble the gauge assembly, and change the bulb.

Problem is it gives no explanation on how to disassemble the gauge assembly. From the picture in the service manual it would appear that I need to have the printed circuit board removed from the plastic casing so I'll have to remove the actual gauges (Tachometer, Speedometer, Fuel, Temp, and Information display).

Does anyone have any experience with this that they can share?

Thank you in advance for your time.

If you've already got to the gauges you'll see the plastics tabs that hold them together. Carefully pry the tabs with a small screwdriver. There might be some more info or pics in one of the led gauges threads.

Did you ever replace your bulb? I had my D5 blow out in my '00 this week as well and just looked up the procedure in the service manual too.
If so, what did you end up doing?

Thanks!

If I'm in there, I might just buy the lens assembly for $13 and have it crystal clear again...
